A recipient of Philadelphia Business Journal’s "40 under 40" award, Dr. Raza Bokhari – a physician turned serial entrepreneur - has developed outstanding expertise in aggregating and accelerating life sciences, healthcare services and Pharmaceutical R&D companies.

An effective change agent and business catalyst with experience and expertise in start-ups and publicly traded companies, he has proven himself adept at turning around struggling companies. Raza and his teams have accelerated growth trends in healthcare services, diagnostics, and therapeutics companies by raising capital through public offerings, private equity funds, venture capital money and leveraged debt partners.

Dr. Bokhari is the managing partner of RBx Capital, LP, and is the Executive Chairman & CEO of Medicus Pharma, Ltd, (TSXV:MDCX) a biotech/life sciences company focused on accelerating the clinical development programs of novel and disruptive therapeutic assets. 

He previously served as Executive Chairman and CEO of FSD Pharma (Nasdaq: HUGE), where his strategies successfully pivoted the company out of medicinal cannabis and into a clinical stage pharmaceutical R&D company and began trading on Nasdaq in January 2020. Raza realized success early in his entrepreneurial journey by re-capitalizing and selling previously distressed assets Examples include selling Lakewood Pathology Associates to Water Street Capital at 8.3 multiple to forward looking EBIDTA, and Parkway Clinical to Rosetta Genomics (Nasdaq:ROSG), a global biotech company that  yielded an IRR of 137%.

Dr. Bokhari, through his family foundation, believes in giving back and investing in the community. In recognition of a $1 million gift, he made to his alma mater, Temple University, its Fox Business School named the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Institute Suite in his honor. The school recently acknowledged Raza in 2018 by naming him a Centennial Honoree, a special collection of entrepreneurs, visionaries, and disruptors who helped shape the Fox School and the business world since 1918.

Raza has a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Punjab, Rawalpindi Medical College, and an Executive MBA from Temple University, Fox School of Business & Management.

In addition to his corporate roles, Raza serves as the Vice Chairman of the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia. He formerly served on the Board of Temple University’s Fox School of Business and Management as Chairman of the Executive Advisory Committee and was a Trustee of the esteemed Franklin Institute and Foreign Policy Research Institute. Dr. Bokhari also served for years the North American Point of Contact & Spokesperson for the (late) General Pervez Musharraf, the former President of Pakistan, a role that proved critical in the years following 9/11.  

Raza is regularly retained as a consultant for due diligence by PE and VC funds focused in investing in life sciences, bio-tech and healthcare services companies. He has also spoken before professional organizations, academic institutions, and governmental bodies, including the US Congressional Caucus at Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.

An avid golfer and longtime fan of his hometown Philadelphia Eagles, Raza resides in mainline of Pennsylvania with his wife, of 26 years, Sabina, and daughter Sana, who is a rising Senior at NYU Tisch school of the Arts.
